You are invited to participate in CETL’s teaching talk “Effective Use of Small Group Instruction” on Wednesday, February 15, from 1:30 – 2:45 p.m. in ROWE 319. This is one of a series of Informal discussions aimed at sharing teaching ideas and concerns and discussing techniques and strategies with colleagues, experts, and CETL staff. At this session, participants will discuss issues like
Using small groups to enhance student engagement, motivation, and learning
Identifying learning goals that are well suited for small group work
Forming groups
Monitoring group progress
Evaluation & feedback
All UConn instructors-graduate students, TAs, and APIRs, as well as adjunct, tenure-track and tenured faculty-are encouraged to attend.
