Accelerate UConn is UConn’s National Science Foundation Innovation Corps (I-Corps) Site. Its mission is to catalyze the transition of new scientific discoveries and capabilities from the lab to the marketplace.
Participating teams will receive $3,000 in seed funding for their ventures, as well as an introduction to the most critical elements of the I-Corps Curriculum and Lean Launchpad methodology. Teams will learn how to determine the market opportunity for their product or technology.
AU provides hands-on training in the fundamental components of new venture creation and is delivered by experienced entrepreneurs and faculty members. Participants are provided with personalized coaching and feedback which will help them construct an evidence-based business model and market entry strategy.
Accelerate UConn is open to all university faculty and students.
The submission of an application is required for participation. All applications will be reviewed by an independent panel of experienced entrepreneurs and subject area experts according to an objective set of criteria.
Accelerate UConn is a NSF I-Corps site and training program that is jointly operated by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CCEI).
