  • Physics Graduate Student Needed

    The Pre-Medicine and Pre-Dental Medicine Office at the University of Connecticut is looking to hire a graduate student to lead the 4-hour Physics session of the non-credit fee-based Spring 2017 MCAT DAT Test Review Course, scheduled for Saturday, April 22, 2017. The MCAT DAT Test Review Course serves as content-based test preparation and is not intended to serve as content instruction.

    Duties to be performed include the following:

    • review the session-specific portion of the MCAT test;
    • create question-based content for review with students during the session
    • teaching one Physics-specific session;
    • participating in a course design meeting 

    We seek a current graduate student with experience in undergraduate teaching; ability to work independently and responsibly; and knowledge of successful test-taking principles.

    Pay will be $100/hr for each assigned teaching session and test-review time. A Graduate student with a 100% assistantship must receive written approval from the Graduate School prior to accepting this Special Payroll appointment. Please note that federal regulations prohibit international students on F-1 or J-1 visas from working more than 20 hours per week during the school year when classes are in session.
