While some of us are loosening our belts this holiday season, there are a shocking number of people that are going hungry in our community. Foodshare, a local food bank, estimates there are 137,000 people in Hartford and Tolland counties who cannot be sure where their next meal is coming from. That includes one out of every six children in this area.
UConn employees can help us achieve a hunger-free community by donating to Foodshare via the Connecticut State Employee for Charitable Giving Campaign (CSEC). Please consider participating and help us build a healthier community.
