  • Commissioner's Letter to all State Employees

    Dear Fellow State Employees:

The 2016 Connecticut State Employees’ Campaign (CSEC) for Charitable Giving fundraising has begun! I am honored to serve as the Statewide Campaign Chair. A contribution to the CSEC is an investment in the lives of our neighbors near and far and can be realized through a donation of your choice to any of the hundreds of eligible charitable organizations listed in the 2016 Directory of Charitable Organizations.

When I think of “a charitable gift”, the words compassion and generosity come to mind. We each have the choice to contribute to an organization that is doing the work that speaks to us.  Together, our contributions can make a significant impact of the quality of life of so many deserving individuals and communities.  Making a donation can be done in the way that is most convenient to you; options include a payroll deduction pledge for as little as $1 per pay period.

The goal for the 2016 campaign is $1.25M and with your support, I know we will be successful! To start making a difference please visit https://www.givingmatters365.org/ctemployeegiving  and take a few minutes to sign up for a payroll or one time gift donation.  To learn more about the CSEC and this year’s participating charities visit http://www.employeegiving.ct.gov.

I encourage you to join me in continuing our state employees’ proud tradition of compassion and generosity and make a pledge that will have a positive impact on our local, national and global communities. Thank you for your public service and for the millions of dollars countless charities have received in contributions since 1993.

    With Gratitude,

    Miriam Delphin-Rittmon, Ph.D.
