Homecoming and Huskies Forever Weekend events will be happening across campus on Sunday, October 16th. To accommodate the activities planned, there will be road closures during the times listed below. Please be advised of the times and locations of these road closures and make arrangements to avoid impacted areas. Please forward to members of your department who may be affected by the closures below.
Sunday October 16, 2016
8:30AM to 10:00AM - Huskies Forever 5K
The Huskies Forever 5k will be starting and finishing on Alumni Drive at the Alumni Center. The race will affect all of the following roadways
- Alumni Drive (closure near Alumni Center begins at 8:30am)
- Hillside Road from Alumni Drive to Gilbert Road
- Glenbrook Road
- Mansfield Busway
- Gilbert Road
- Jim Calhoun Way

10:00AM to 1:00PM - Homecoming Parade and Carnival in South Campus
- Starting at 10AM until 1:00pm Glenbrook Road will be shut down
- From 12:00pm (noon) until 1:00pm the following roads will be shut down for the parade procession.
- Glenbrook Road
- Hillside Road from Glenbrook to Gilbert Road.
- Gilbert Road
Please be advised to avoid these areas during these times as there will be increased foot traffic.
