Now that Labor Day has arrived, it's time to think about fall planting. Our greenhouse is now full of beautiful large mum plants for either indoor color or outdoor planting. Bronze, yellow, white, purple and orange mums will be available in September and October at UConn Blooms. Loaded with buds for long term blooming, these mums were grown on campus. You can dress up your office or home with these fall colors for Autumn. These large mum plants are $6.99 each with quanitity discounts available.
UConn Blooms, run through the Plant Science/Landscape Architecture Department, serves the campus community with the sale of fresh flowers, indoor tropical plants and designed arrangements. Our cooler is stocked with roses, carnations, sunflowers, daisies and alstromeria. Located in the Floriculture Building across from the yellow barn on Route 195 (Storrs Road), we are open from 10:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday, with parking available alongside our greenhouse.
