University Policy Information

  • Protection of Minors & Non-Discrimination

The University of Connecticut is proud to serve the broader community through a wide range of educational and enriching opportunities, and is committed to promoting a welcoming and secure experience for the children and youth who participate in activities at UConn. UConn’s Protection of Minors and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect Policy is a resource for members of the University community and those responsible for coordinating programs and activities involving minors. For additional assistance and guidance regarding this policy, please visit minorprotection.uconn.edu or contact the Minor Protection Coordinator at 860-486-5682.

The Policy Against Discrimination, Harassment, and Related Interpersonal Violence was approved by the Board of Trustees effective January 1, 2016. The policy is an updated, streamlined policy that more clearly articulates the University’s commitment to maintaining a safe and non-discriminatory learning, living and working environment for all members of the University community – students, employees and visitors.  The new policy replaces three former, separate policies (Sexual Assault Response Policy; Policy Against Discrimination, Harassment and Inappropriate Romantic Relationships; and Title IX Notice) and combines the duties and protections set forth in those policies under one coordinated, easier-to-read policy. Please visit titleix.uconn.edu for additional information or contact the Office of Institutional Equity (formerly Office of Diversity and Equity) at 860-486-2943.

Please familiarize yourself with the new policies.  We ask that managers who supervise employees with limited computer access, please post these policies in a common area.
