Colonial is excited to inform you that they have made some nice enhancements to their short term disability plan as it pertains to underwriting. Colonial is offering guaranteed issue to State of CT employees.
Please stop in and speak with Benefit Representative Rick Bohadik on Wednesday, August 31 from 9am to 3pm in the Student Union – Room 106A.
Voluntary short term disability insurance provides a monthly benefit to replace a portion of your income if you are unable to work due to a covered illness or injury. Coverage is guaranteed renewable to age 70.
Features include:
On and Off Job accident and sickness coverage: This includes pregnancy, and mental and nervous benefits.
Variety: There are multiple plans to choose from to fit your specific needs.
Benefit payment: Pays regardless of any other source of income.
Guaranteed issue: Employees may obtain guaranteed coverage, with no health questions asked, for a limited time for up to 66 2/3% of gross income to a maximum of $3,000.00 in monthly benefits.
Pays a tax free benefit

This is also an opportunity for existing policyholders to review coverage with Rick, especially if you have not reviewed your coverage in the past two years.
