The time to register for the first CSEC Tennis Tournament being held on September 10th at the CT Tennis Center in New Haven, is now. Sign up online: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/csec-tennis-tournament-registration-26464162021 or you may register in person at the CSEC Campaign Kick-off Event being held on August 18th on the grounds of the State Capitol from 11:30 to 1pm.
Some basic information:
* There will be competitive divisions (for experienced players) as well as non-competitive divisions (for those of you that have not picked up a racquet in years)
* Due to strong sponsor support, the entry fee is only $25 per person which includes court time, a tournament t-shirt, tennis balls for each match, water and free parking
* Matches will be played on the same courts that the professionals will be playing on two weeks earlier
* Matches will be 8 game "pro-sets" with winners moving up their bracket (with rest time between matches.) Consolation matches are anticipated for those that do not win their first match
* Entrants may play in a singles and ONE doubles division with no time conflicts guaranteed. We will attempt to mitigate time conflicts for those wishing to play in two doubles divisions
* Food trucks will be on-site
