Participants Needed: Survey around race and privilege beliefs
You are being asked to participate in this study because you are 18 years old and over. Your views are helpful to this study. Your thoughts and beliefs around race, privilege and social justice will be helpful to this study. We seek to find out levels of social justice consciousness around race.
Your participation in this study will require the completion of a questionnaire. You will be asked to tell your level of agreement or disagreement with survey statements. This should take approximately 5-10 minutes of your time. You will not be paid for being in this study. We believe this survey does not involve any risk to you. Although you may find it interesting to participate in this study, there will be no direct benefit to you from your participation.
You do not have to be in this study if you do not want to be. I will be happy to answer any questions you have about this study. We are in the Department of Educational Psychology. If you have any questions about your rights as a research participant, you may contact the University of Connecticut Institutional Review Board (IRB) at 860-486-8802. The IRB is a group of people who review research studies to protect the rights and welfare of research participants.
