  • Slag Review - Accepting Submissions

Presenting The Slag Review, a brand new literary magazine created by UConn alumni Carleton Whaley and Therese Masotta, and one of CT's blacksmiths, Thomas Manyard.

TSR is a is a small, confused group of editors and creators trying to create a haven for talented voices in all ranges of experience. We are particularly interested in metallurgy and all the slag that comes with it. What is slag and why do we like it? Slag is the waste that gets left behind during the process of forging - it's not in the final product, but it was a necessary part of the process. A good end product leaves behind a trail of unused material. Here at TSR we love seeing the slag and personal notes you left behind while creating whatever beautiful masterpiece you ended up with.

We are accepting a huge range of work, including poetry, prose, art, fiction, nonfiction, metallurgy, photos, and slag.

Submissions will be accepted until June 17th.
