You are invited to attend the opening reception for BLOW UP: INFLATABLE CONTEMPORARY ART on Thursday, June 2, from 4:30 to 6:30.
This playful, family-friendly exhibition features 21 works that explore the medium of inflatable art with imagery that is figurative, conceptual, and abstract, accessible yet rich with meaning.
A 10-foot tall white elephant, two giant, smiling red bunnies, towering superheroes, and a 17-foot long Trans Am replica of the 1977 Smokey and the Bandit car are among the fascinating works that reveal the imaginative ways artists use air as a tool for creating movable art.
MUSEUM HOURS: Tuesday through Friday, 10 to 4:30 / Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 4:30. ADMISSION is free.
BLOW UP will be on exhibition through July 31, with the exception of Independence Day weekend, July 2 through 4, when the museum will be closed.
