  • UConn Blooms Remembers Memorial Day

A tradition of Memorial Day was for years associated with remembering those who have passed with the planting of flowers at a grave or memorial site.  UConn Blooms has a good assortment of annuals to not only decorate a cemetery but also to remembering the flowers of your youth.  We still have geraniums, petunias, coleus and begonias, those summer plants which bring beauty and color to any home or garden.  Our tomato plants are individually potted to for even the first time gardener to enjoy for ground planting or patio containers.  Basil, oregano, parsley and sage lend themselves to not only cooking but for the beauty of their fragrance.  Or maybe just a simple bouquet of daisies to remember a loved one who has passed away.

UConn Blooms is located in the Floriculture building at 1395 Storrs Road across from the yellow barn on Route 195.  Due to the construction around our building, parkiing is also available in T-Lot closest to our building with designated spots for our clients. The front door is always open during business hours.  We are open from 10:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday.
