The Japanese Student Association proudly presents UConn Spring Weekend's second Sakura Matsuri!
Sakura Matsuri translates to Cherry Blossom Festival, and is a centuries old Japanese tradition celebrating the beauty of the cherry blossoms in spring. What began as a simple custom has expanded into full national festivities celebrating Japanese culture and community through food, performances, and exhibitions!
There will be a photo booth, art vendors, massage counter, games, and food stands from a variety of student cultural organizations with a number offering menu items that are $3 or under.
There will also be a number of feature performances during the festival. The festival is going to be an amazing family friendly event so bring your friends, family, and everyone you know!
