  • Upgrading Storrs Campus Voicemail System

University Information Technology Services (UITS) is upgrading the Storrs campus faculty and staff voicemail system.

The current voicemail system has reached the end of its useful life and is no longer sustainable.  The replacement chosen for the University is a contemporary system that will deliver familiar functionality and enhanced features.  It will integrate with university email, and many members of our community will be able to receive voicemail messages as WAV file attachments.  For more information about this feature, visit http://phone.uconn.edu/unity-email/.

UITS has completed staging for the April 16, 2016 voicemail cutover weekend.  We have created new mailboxes with standard name to speech greetings in the replacement voicemail system.  You can setup your new mailbox with a personalized greeting and individual pin either before or after the transition (directions below).  Please note that messages saved on the old system will not be moved to the new system.  You can continue to access them at 6-5555 prior to April 16 and at 7-1111 from April 16 through May 28.  They will no longer be available once the legacy system is formally decommissioned after May 28.
