We are excited to announce the 2016 Borderlands graduate research symposium. Inspired by a working group sponsored by El Instituto: Institute of Latina/o, Caribbean, and Latin American Studies, this two-day symposium seeks to bring together scholars from a variety of disciplines to discuss & generate critical scholarship, network, and grow as intellectuals, both in and outside of the academy. All proposals should include an abstract of 250 words or less.  Submission types can draw on all theories, methods, and formats, including: Individual papers, wholly constituted sessionsworkshops on specific topics or methodological approaches, andPoster presentations.
