  • 4/1 A Night of Art and Music at the Benton

     Friday, 4/1, 8 PM

     

    Join the University of Connecticut orchestral groups at the Benton Art Museum for a night of art and music! The University of Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra are made up of student musicians led and conducted by Director of Orchestral Studies Harvey Felder. Repertoire includes works from the standard classical, romantic, and contemporary orchestral literature. The Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra also collaborate with other ensembles in the department, including the Festival Chorus and the Opera Program.

    Headlining performers include Rebecca Patterson, Dr. Solomiya Ivakhiv, and Melvin Chen.

    The William Benton Museum is located in the center of campus, across from the Student Union. The concert begins at 8 PM. Admission is free.
