  • 4/8 "Teaching at its Best" Discussion

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning invites any interested UConn instructors to participate in a casual conversation about teaching on Friday, April 8th, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in ROWE 319.  Topics for this discussion include assessing learning outcomes:

    • Assessing student learning in progress
    • Constructing summative assessments
    • Preparing students for tests
    • Grading summative assessments
    • Evaluating and documenting teaching effectiveness

This is the last of six teaching talks for the academic year.  All UConn instructors—including adjuncts, visiting faculty, GAs, TAs, APIRs, tenured and tenure-track faculty members—are invited, whether you are currently teaching or not.  You do not need to have attended earlier discussions to benefit from this one—each is unique!  Share your own approaches to teaching and find out what others are doing to enhance their teaching effectiveness in and out of the classroom.

Please contact Stacey Valliere (itl@uconn.edu, 860-486-2686) to register, and email Laurie Wolfley at Laurie.Wolfley@uconn.edu if you have questions or would like more information.
