  • RT 195 Water Pipeline Construction Update

The Connecticut Water Company continues construction on the 5-mile water pipeline along Route 195 between Tolland and Storrs/Mansfield.

Beginning the week of March 7th, Connecticut Water will resume water main installation work along two stretches of Route 195. One crew will be working in Tolland just east of the Route 195/Anthony Road intersection. Travelers should expect some impact to traffic in this area due to narrow road conditions. A second crew will be working in the vicinity of Route 195/Baxter Road intersection in Mansfield. The road is wider in this area and two lanes of traffic are expected to be maintained for the majority of the time.

Work hours are 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Pipeline installation has been completed on Route 195 between the Route 44 intersection (Four Corners) and Mansfield Supply and on Route 44 between the Four Corners and Jensen’s Rolling Hills Community.

Overall the project is about 62% complete with more than 3.5 miles of water main installed since mid-July 2015.
