The University of Connecticut Wind Ensemble presents their first concert of the semester, “Colors.” This concert will feature a variety of compositions and performances. First-year professor Matthew Russo will have the featured Trombone solo in Passaggi: Concerto for Trombone and Wind Ensemble. UConn Senior Julien Monick will be premiering his composition, Symphony for Wind Ensemble. The other pieces they will perform include Hymn for Emanuel and Lincolnshire Posy. Conductors include Jessica Von Villas and Dr. Jeffrey Renshaw.
von der Mehden Recital Hall is located at 875 Coventry Road, across from Mirror Lake. General admission is $10, students and children are free. Free and well-lit parking is available across the street.
