  • UConn IDEA Grant - Deadline & Drop-In Hours

The UConn IDEA Grant Program awards funding to support self-designed projects including creative endeavors, research projects, community service initiatives, entrepreneurial ventures, and other innovative projects.

UConn undergraduate students in all majors at all campuses can apply for an IDEA Grant of up to $4,000 per student to fund their work. Applications are accepted from individuals and from small groups of students who plan to work collaboratively on a project. The deadline to apply for academic year funding (2016-17) is Monday, March 14, 2016.

Please encourage students with questions about the UConn IDEA Grant program to attend the upcoming drop-in hours. Students can stop by to discuss their project ideas and to have their application materials reviewed.

    UConn IDEA Grant Drop-In Hours:

    • Thursday, March 10, 2016, 3:00-5:00pm, Rowe 401
    • Friday, March 11, 2016, 1:00-4:00pm, Rowe 401

In addition to drop-in hours, students can schedule advising appointments with Dr. Caroline McGuire, OUR Director, via email (caroline.mcguire@uconn.edu) or through AdvApp (select Enrichment Programs) for proposal reviews, to discuss project ideas, and to learn more about the IDEA Grant program. Skype and phone appointments are available for students at the regional campuses and those studying abroad.
