By now you're well aware of the Writing Center's recurring Saturday Writing Retreats, which happen the first Saturday of every month. These retreats for graduate student writers provide much needed time, space, and motivation to get some serious work done. Simply writing in the presence of others can bring a surprising sense of solidarity and productivity. The next retreat will be held on March 5th.
Arrive with the project you are working on, your laptop, and any notes or books you may need. Bring your own lunch or plan to buy on campus. There will not be any tutoring or any lectures. This is simply a space to write. (But we do provide coffee, tea, muffins, brownies, and Rice Krispies Treats.)
