  • One More Day to Register for UConn Science Salon

Everybody hurts, sometimes.  But people seem to be hurting more and more, to judge from our nation's painkiller addiction crisis, and it's hard to know what to do about it.  How do we know who is "really" in pain, and how to help them?  Join us at the next Science Salon, where we'll discuss the genetics of pain and the future of treating it, from non-addictive pain medications to yoga.

    Featured Panelists:

    • Kyle Baumbauer, Assistant Professor of Nursing, UConn
    • Crystal Park, Professor of Psychology, UConn
    • Erin Young, Assistant Professor of Nursing, UConn

    Moderator:

    • Angela Starkweather, Professor of Nursing and Director of the Center for Advancement in Managing Pain

The event will be held at 6 p.m. on March 3 at NIXS Hartford, 40 Front St., Hartford. Registration costs $15 and includes one drink and appetizers. Register by March 1 at https://www.eiseverywhere.com//ehome/160965
