We would like to announce our upcoming Special Exhibition, “For the Love of Alexey” at the Alexey von Schlippe Gallery of Art, located in the Branford House Mansion, on UConn’s Avery Point Campus in Groton, CT.
The exhibition runs from Friday, January 15th through Sunday, February, 21st.
There will be a Special Reception/Celebration, Friday, February 19th 6-8 PM.
The Feb. 19th Reception is open to the public and will feature live music with the
Bill Morrison Jazz Trio
The AvS Gallery is proud to present an exhibition featuring the outstanding work of Alexey von Schlippe. We will celebrate Alexey in honor of his 100th birthday, his paintings and 24 years of the AvS Gallery of Art. This will be the final showing of Alexey von Schlippe’s paintings before they are returned to his family in Germany, due to the closing of the AvS Gallery by the University as of August 2016.
**This is the first of 4 final exhibitions at the AvS Gallery.
