  • CICATS Pre-K Scholar Award Program

    The Connecticut Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (CICATS) at the University of Connecticut, a cross university translational institute led by Dr. Cato Laurencin and Assistant Director and Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Linda Barry, is pleased to announce a second term competition for the CICATS Pre-K Scholar Award Programs, mentored research career awards for junior faculty.  

    Created in 2013, the CICATS Pre-K Scholar Award Program is a 2-year interactive program designed to equip junior faculty with the knowledge and competencies to effectively apply for an NIH Research Career Development Awards (K award) as well as become leaders in clinical and translational science.

    Junior faculty with R grants (i.e. R21 ) are eligible to apply.

    Key Dates

    Monday, February 22, 2016: Electronic Application Due

    March–April 2016: Applications will undergo a rigorous peer review process

    May 2016:  Final selection of applicants by CICATS K Directors

    July 1, 2016: Program start date
