  • 2/11 HuskyTHON's $100K in One Day

Tomorrow, Thursday, February 11th, UConn students across campus will be attempting to raise $100,000 in ONE day for the kids at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center through HuskyTHON!

HuskyTHON is a year-long fundraising effort that culminates in an 18-hour dance marathon, raising money for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. All money raised at HuskyTHON is donated to the Medical Center. Last year, HuskyTHON had nearly 2,500 student participants and raised over $560,000 for the hospital! This year, HuskyTHON is taking place on February 20th and we are hoping to far surpass that fundraising total!

Last year HuskyTHON held their first 24-Hour Fundraising Initiative with a goal to raise $25,000 in 24 hours. We far surpassed that goal, raising just over $53,000 in one day! This year’s goal is much more ambitious as we are setting out to raise $100,000 in ONE day for the kids at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. However, we need YOUR help in reaching this goal! Please consider donating to this wonderful cause!

    To donate:

    1. Go to http://events.dancemarathon.com/index.cfm

    2. In the Fundraiser Search box, search “Faculty Fund”. The first search result should show the “HuskyTHON Faculty Fund” logo.

    3. Click “Donate Now” on the right using our secure server!

Again, please consider donating to HuskyTHON tomorrow to help the students reach their goal of $100,000 in ONE day! We thank you for supporting Connecticut Children’s Medical Center through HuskyTHON!
