Currently, the UConn Connects program is experiencing an increased amount of sign ups from students on academic probation or warning. To meet this need, UConn Connects is seeking faculty and staff mentors willing to volunteer immediately. Mentors meet with one or two students on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and assist students achieve their academic goals through mentoring and support. It is an opportunity to directly impact and assist in the retention of students who have experienced academic difficulty. Faculty and staff members as well as graduate students from all areas are welcome. We offer training and resources throughout the semester for faculty and staff mentors. If you have been a faculty or staff mentor (facilitator) in the past, we would love to have you return.
