Volunteers are needed to participate in a research study determining how music as a background noise and music affects how much noise an individual is willing to tolerate.
We are looking for adults over the age of 18 years with normal hearing to participate. The study will take place over one session at the UCONN Aural Rehabilitation Laboratory on the Storrs Campus. Participants will be asked choose the level of background noise they can tolerate while listening to a story. We are conducting this research study to find out if music as a background noise and music preference affects the Acceptable Noise Level (ANL) of the participant.
Participants will receive a free hearing screening.
