Many thanks to all who've already offered goods or monetary donations to support New Haven's Integrated Refugee & Immigration Services, helping out refugee families fleeing violence and starting new lives at the beginning of a New England winter.
If you're still looking to help, you can drop off donations in Austin 162 until 5 p.m. today (Friday 12/4).
What we're collecting:
- cash & check donations (checks made out to IRIS)
- winter coats and other outerwear; warm gear like leggings, sweaters, scarves, sweatshirts, sweatpants, etc.; children's clothes of all kinds; adult clothing and pajamas in all sizes (new or gently used)
- socks & underwear (new only)
- soaps, shampoos & conditions, razors, toilet paper, bed linens, towels, cleaning supplies, etc. (new only)
- clean kitchen supplies like pots & pans, good-condition kitchen appliances, silverware, dishes, end/coffee tables, lamps, bookshelves, bed frames, dressers, bagged vacuum cleaners, alarm clocks, medical kits, winter blankets, etc. (new or gently used)
- Note: contact us regarding transportation of large items
