The Brain Imaging Research Center (BIRC) will host an Open House on Tuesday September 29th from 4:00PM until 5:30PM. The Center houses a state-of-the-art Siemens MAGNETOM Prisma 3 Tesla MRI scanner, as well as facilities for EEG (electroencephalography), TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) and behavioral testing. Although BIRC's primary focus is neuroimaging, the PRISMA scanner also has great research potential for fields such as body physiology, organ morphometry, tissue metabolism,and quantitative MRI. The BIRC encourages all such research.
