  • Graduate Assistant Health Insurance

    As a result of the collective bargaining agreement reached between the GEU-UAW and the University of Connecticut, Graduate Assistants of the University of Connecticut will be eligible for medical and dental benefits under the Connecticut Partnership Plan (CPP).  In addition to Graduate Assistants represented by the GEU-UAW, Graduate Interns, Graduate Fellows, and Postdoctoral Fellows are also eligible for benefits under the CPP.

    Medical benefits under the CPP offered at the University of Connecticut will be effective for all returning and new Graduate Assistants, Graduate Interns, and Graduate Fellows effective August 15, 2015.  Dental benefits will be effective on September 1, 2015.  The effective date of medical and dental coverage for Postdoctoral Fellows eligible for the Connecticut Partnership Plan will be the 1st day of the month following the start date of the appointment.

    Please note that the benefit plan for the above-mentioned groups will be managed by UConn Human Resources.  The Bailey Agencies will no longer be servicing the health and dental benefits plans for Graduate Assistants and Graduate Fellows beyond August 14, 2015.
