    Please join the University of Connecticut and the Connecticut Department of Transportation for a conversation on innovative approaches to solving today's transportation problems in the context of livable communities - places where people want to live, work and play.


    Guest speaker Andrew Cotugno, Portland, Oregon's Senior Policy Advisor to the Metro Council and Chief Operating Officer will talk about his city's 30 year journey to becoming a national leader in transportation and livable communities.

    You are cordially invited to join the University of Connecticut and the Connecticut Department of Transportation for a conversation on innovative approaches to solving today's transportation problems in the context of livable communities. The Connecticut Transportation Forum will take place on Monday, July 13th from 9:30am -12:00pm in the Center for Contemporary Culture at the Hartford Public Library. The Hartford Public Library is located at 500 Main Street, Hartford, CT 06103.


    Connecticut's Commissioner of Transportation James Redeker will discuss how Governor Malloy's 30 year plan will create opportunities for livable communities in Connecticut and frame transportation’s significant role.

    The Hartford Downtown Library has limited free parking in the Public Library garage. There is metered parking in the library garage and on Main, Sheldon and Arch Streets surrounding the library. Parking is also available in the following garages/lots:
