Faculty medical leaves have historically been at the discretion of the University and administered in accordance with the Article XV,L, 4 of the By-Laws of the University of Connecticut. Newly adopted guidelines are intended to clarify the By-Laws and provide better guidance and general parameters to University administrators in evaluating requests for medical leave.
