  • 4/28 Vesselon: Making a Difference Towards Stroke

Bioscience ClubhouseCT presents:   One in six people will have a stroke in his/her lifetime.  How we plan to save their lives and quality of life - The Vesselon Story.

Vesselon’s mission is to make a difference –  to save the lives and quality of life for at least 1,000,000 stroke victims each and every year - by developing what will be akin to the world’s first ultrasound automated external defibrillator (“AED”) for ischemic stroke. This non-invasive solution aims to treat patients before or as they arrive at a hospital – critical because ‘time is brain.’ Just as AEDs now save cardiac arrest victims, Vesselon believes its immediate ischemic stroke treatment will save lives, improve outcomes and significantly reduce healthcare costs.

This will be a great opportunity for UConn faculty, post-doctoral scholars, and graduate students to come and learn about the challenges faced by an entrepreneur in the therapeutics space among other topics.

    Speakers:

Rhodemann Li, EVP Strategy & Finance, will discuss how and why he started the Company and challenges

Clay Larsen, CEO, President & co-founder, will discuss ongoing activities, including its technology, regulatory pathway and commercialization plan. He will also discuss immediate and long-term needs for engineering, clinical and production personnel.

    Date: Tuesday, April 28th

Location: Yale Entrepreneurial Institute, 55 Whitney Avenue, New Haven
