The Iranian Cultural Organization of UConn cordially invites you to a seminar on Attar of Nishapur, the famous Iranian poet and theoretician of Sufism, held on April 18, at the University of Connecticut, Storrs. Two distinguished speakers, Dr. Ahmad Karimi-Hakkak from Maryland University and Dr. Michael Barry from Princeton University, both engaged in Persian literature and history, will give lectures on life and mysticism of Attar. In addition, two Iranian music ensembles will perform poems from Attar, aimed at leading the listeners to a state of Sufi ecstasy.
