  • 4/19 Songfest: The Great American Songbook

Join UConn Voice and Opera as they present their 2015 Spring Songfest: The Great American Songbook. A favorite of singers and audience members alike, this program is sure to be entertaining for all. Over thirty of our graduate and undergraduate singers will come together to sing a delightful program featuring some of the most beloved songs and composers of the 20th century. The program includes songs by Cole Porter, George Gerschwhin, Leonard Bernstein, Jerome Kern, Lerner and Lowe, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jule Styne, Irving Berlin, among others.

Additionally, entertainment will be provided by a jazz trio comprised of UConn students Andrew Wynsen (piano), Alexandria Bodick (bass), and Will Trautmann (drums) before and after the program, as well as during intermission.

Songfest: The Great American Songbook will run for one performance only in the Jorgensen Art Gallery on Sunday, April 19th at 2:00pm. Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for seniors and staff, and $5 for students.
