    V.Ramesh, lecture "Remembrance of Voices Past"

     

    A painter and professor of art at Andhra University in Vishakapataman, India, artist V.Ramesh will discuss his image/text paintings dealing with themes of faith, devotion and transcendence and particularly the lives and work of female Bhakti poet/saints.  Ramesh has exhibited his work widely in India most recently at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Bangalore and is represented by Gallery Threshold in New Delhi. He is in the United States for a solo exhibition at American University, Washington, D.C, which is his first exhibition in the United States
