Life Raft Debate: Building a Sustainable Food Supply
Konover Auditorium, Dodd Center, April 16, 2015, 7:00-8:00 pm
Argue the merits of different food-related disciplines! Here’s our premise: the Earth is ruined, and there’s one seat left on a spaceship leaving to colonize another planet. Faculty experts debate, and a panel of judges – together with the audience – decide the winner. Which food expert deserves to have that last seat – the researcher whose focus is chickens? Or yeast and molds? Or the water supply? Or maybe the artist who brings creativity and an ability to think outside the box?
The winner’s department gets an ice-cream break during Finals Week – so we’re all invested in this debate, for many reasons!
