UConn's Advocates for Children (UCAC) will be hosting their Out of the Dark 5K this Saturday at 6:30pm on Fairfield Way. At this event, UCAC will raise awareness and promote prevention for child abuse and neglect.
The event will kick off with motivational speakers of professional and undergraduate backgrounds on this topic. We will have a DJ, glowsticks for all attendees, and runners will be eligible for placement prizes including gift cards and an autographed football by NFL's Mike Ditka for the first place winner!
All money riased will be donated to the CT Center for Children's Advocacy, a nonprofit law firm in Hartford that advocates for urban youth. It is only $5 to attend, $10 to run/walk, and $40 for a team of 5 to participate! To attend, or sign up for the 5K, see the link below.
