UConn senior nursing student innovators will pitch their healthcare innovations to a panel of seve judges from Connecticut and across the country. [Event web page [link] This is the nursing version of the television show “Shark Tank”.
Our nursing leadership course hosted interactive discussions, policy debates, and even panel discussions and are now ready to hold our official paneled innovation event intended to connect entrepreneurs with potential investors!
Come listen to their "pitches" on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 9 am -11 in the Widmer Wing Auditorium, and Widmer Classroom 1, at 231 Glenbrook Road, Storrs Campus.
The seven judge panel includes:
- Kevin Bouley - President and CEO Nerac, Inc. (Tolland, CT)
- Ellen Crowe - Regional Director of Clinical Excellence and Innovation for the Eastern Region of Hartford Healthcare
- Anne Harrington- Chief Operating Officer and Cofounder of Long Term Solutions
- Kathleen Hirsch- Interim Chief Nursing Officer at the UConn Health Center
- Cheryl Hoey – Vice President of Clinical Nurse Services CT Children’s Medical Ctr.
- Christine Meehan - CEO and Founder of CADImplant; Investor of GoldenSeeds
- Kathy Rocha- Managing Director of UConn’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Consortium; Managing Director of GoldenSeeds
