    UConn’s’ Technology Incubation Program (TIP), part of the Office of Vice President of Research, invites you to join us on Tuesday March 24, 2015 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Marine Sciences Building Auditorium on UConn’s Avery Point Campus to hear how to build a strong foundation for an emerging growth company.

    “The Foundation for Building an Emerging Growth Company”- a discussion of the keys to building a scalable business, focusing on issues commonly encountered by start-ups:

    * Valuation of the Business

    * Dividing the Equity Among the Founders

    * Use of Equity as Incentives

    * How to Find the Right Investors and Negotiate with Them

    * Dealing with Lawyers and Other Professionals

    * Other Common Issues Encountered by an Emerging Growth Businesses

     The presenter will be Frank Marco, Partner in Wiggin & Dana’s Corporate Practice Department and Chair of the firm's Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Practice Group.  He has over 30 years of experience in corporate, finance and securities law. Register here
