Jacqueline R. Seide Outstanding RA Award 2014-2015

Nominations for the Jacqueline R. Seide [Jackie] Outstanding Resident Assistant award are now being accepted. The Seide award is presented annually to the Resident Assistant (RA) who has contributed to the mission of the University of Connecticut and Residential Life through excellent work as an RA, serves as an exemplary role model, has shown great character and integrity, and has consistently performed above and beyond expectations. The outstanding RA is one who has positively affected both the individual student and the community.

Jackie Seide was the Associate Director of Residential Life. During her 30 plus years at the University of Connecticut, Jackie consistently displayed a profound sense of integrity, commitment, and hard work.

Jackie recognized the importance and challenges of the Resident Assistant position and she always took great interest in each RA. The Outstanding Resident Assistant has been named in Jackie’s honor since her retirement in the late 1990s.

Nominations are now being accepted via Google Doc. Nominations should describe the RA’s qualifications and include reasons why the RA should be named the 2014 Outstanding RA, based on the above mentioned award criteria and characteristics of the award’s namesake. Please be specific and use examples to support your nominee. The RA’s current job performance and academic work will also be weighed in the award decision.
