  • CSD Using NoteTaking Express

During the Fall 2014 semester, CSD conducted a trail of Note Taking Express’ (NTE) services with several students. Due to the success of the trail, NTE’s services will be expanded and available to students approved for notetaking assistance through the CSD.

Those students that use NTE’s services will audio record each class using his/her cell phone, tablet, digital recorder, laptop or other device.  After each class, the student uploads the audio files to his/her secure account created by NTE. NTE will download the audio files and create a set of notes (not a transcription) for each class, which will be uploaded to the student’s secure account within 24 to 72 hours (determined by the student).  In addition to audio files, the student may also upload other supplemental course materials (such as PowerPoint slides, images, articles, etc.) which may assist with the creation of notes.

NTE has a confidentiality agreement with CSD, which includes the protection of intellectual property provided to the company by students or CSD with the understanding that materials will not be copied, distributed or shared in any way. Notes and/or recordings provided to students by NTE or peer notetakers are for the students’ personal study use only and are not to be shared with other individuals.
