The Center for Judaic Studies and Contemporary Jewish Life at the University of Connecticut seeks a creative, dynamic individual to provide support to its daily operations, including development and maintenance of promotional materials, social media management, website content management, and coordination of special projects, as needed.
Under the direction of the Center’s Director and Program Assistant, the chosen candidate will:
- Research and post content to social media sites
- Edit and Maintain brochures, press releases, and other marketing materials as part of special promotional project
- Develop and maintain website content, create enriched content
- Develop multimedia presentations for course/center promotions
- Assist in conference and event planning as necessary
- Perform related duties as required
- Assisting with program promotion, including advertising, information sessions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Currently enrolled as a Graduate Student at UConn
- Experience with Facebook / Twitter social media platforms
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in WordPress web platform
- Experience with multimedia and digital marketing
- Experience with video production
- Ability to work well in a team environment
This is a 50% Graduate Assistantship position that has an anticipated start date of January 20, 2015. The expected end date is June 1, 2015, with a consideration to be renewed, based on Center demand and GA interest. Please submit resume to judaicstudies@uconn.edu no later than January 10, 2015.
