  • Help Boost the Total for the Charitable Campaign

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, you can help those who are less fortunate by donating to any of a wide range of charities through the State Employees Charitable Campaign (CSEC).

Contributions are due by Dec. 24. As of last week, 150 UConn employees at the Storrs campus have made a donation, for a total of $69,569, part of a statewide total of 1,600 state employees who have donated $550,000 to the campaign.

The minimum pledge is $1 per pay period, the sky's the limit. Please give generously. Together, we can make a difference.

Through CSEC, you can give locally or globally. The top 20 charities UConn employees donated to in 2013 included Doctors Without Borders (8213), FoodShare (5040), Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (5111), United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut (5000), Connecticut Food Bank (8483), AmeriCares (8207), Habitat for Humanity (7937), the American Cancer Society (3002), the American Heart Association (3004), and the American Red Cross (4650).

You can find these and other charities listed in the CSEC directory online. To find a specific charity of your choice in the online directory, open the pdf, hit the ctrl key and ‘F’ on your keyboard, type the charity you are searching for in the search box, click the down arrow, and select “Find or Open.”

Please send your completed pledge form to Paula Enderle, UConn-Storrs Coordinator of the 2014 Connecticut State Employees’ Campaign, at U-5075, or by fax to 860-486-0379. You can also scan it and send via email to csec@uconn.edu.

All faculty and staff who submit a signed pledge form will be entered into a drawing. In this week’s drawing, the last of this year's campaign:
