  • Outstanding Scholars Program (OSP) Fellowships

The Graduate School is planning to award a number of Outstanding Scholars Program (OSP) Fellowships awards for the 2015-2016 academic year.  The OSP fellowship award is given to students applying to doctoral programs who will represent the very best of the 2015-2016 academic year entering graduate student class.

The OSP Fellowship award consists of an annual service-free fellowship, which is equivalent to a half-time graduate assistantship during the academic year, and $2,000 summer support guaranteed for three (3) years.  The host program provides a half-time graduate assistantship as a match to the OSP Fellowship.

To nominate a doctoral student for an OSP Fellowship:

    1. Please complete the on-line cover sheet located on The Graduate School’s website (http://grad.uconn.edu/financial-resources/internal-funding-opportunities/outstanding-scholars-program-osp-fellowships/).

    2. Forward the completed cover sheet/form to kelly.jones@uconn.edu

    3. Application materials (copies of the applicant’s transcripts including GPA, GRE scores, a personal statement from the applicant and letters of recommendation) should be marked with the OSP group in Hobsons ApplyYourself.

    4. The cover sheet and application materials must be submitted by January 30, 2015.

    5. A faculty committee will review and select potential awardees based on the nominating program and the academic quality of the candidate.

    6. Please be sure to submit your nominations prior to the January 30, 2015 deadline.

The Graduate School looks forward to helping you bring the best and brightest of this year’s applicant pool to UConn.
