Research, Funding, and Awards

  • NextGenCT Scholars Program

The Graduate School is pleased to announce that they will make awards available for outstanding graduate students to apply for the NextGenCT Scholars Program.  The NextGenCT Scholars Award consists of one year of support provided by The Graduate School paired with a minimum of three years of support provided by the host program or department. During the first year the student will receive a full assistantship for the academic year paired with a summer stipend, bringing the total stipend to $25,000 for the year. The host program or department will assign research responsibilities associated with the assistantship. By nominating a student for a NextGenCT Scholar award, the host program or department agrees that it will provide full support in the form of a teaching assistantship or research assistantship for a minimum of three additional years, assuming satisfactory progress toward the doctoral degree.
