  • 11/7 Benton Hosts Salon Discussion on Art in Chemistry

COME TO THE SALON AT THE BENTON TODAY! — Friday, November 7 from 5 - 7 pm
"Unexpected Beauty: Art in Chemistry" is the theme for discussion with panelists:

Michael Astrachan, President and Creative Director, XVIVO Scientific Animation, a CT-based company that has developed and directed animation for most of the large pharmaceutical companies and has been involved in medical educational projects and Ellen Carey, artist and Associate Professor at Hartford Art School, who approaches photography as a process of picture-making rather than picture-taking.

Challa Vijaya (VJ) Kumar, UConn Professor of Biological and Physical Chemistry, will moderate the conversation. His areas of specialization include photochemistry, protein photoscissors, and nanochemistry.

Come view the exhibition CHEM 101: The Science of Photography and stay for what promises to be a lively discussion!
