  • 10/18 An Afternoon WIth Oliver Stone -- October 18, 2014

Please join us as Oliver Stone introduces a viewing of  the Vietnam War episode from his television documentary series “The Untold History of the United States,” created with Peter Kuznick of American University. A panel discussion will follow.  The event will take place in Laurel Hall, Room 101, 2:00-4:00 pm.

Many citizens may be surprised at how much of our real history has been left out of our education.  One can question interpretations but much of what Stone and Kuznick present has been obscured or omitted in mainstream texts and media, often deliberately, because some facts challenge our self-conception as an “exceptional” nation.

Oliver Stone is a three-time Academy Award winning filmmaker and Director of such notable films as Platoon, JFK, Born on the 4th of July, Wall Street and Midnight Express.
